16M
16M
Horizon Glass manufactured and installed the entrances and curtain wall for 16M, a 10-story, ~332,000-square-foot mixed-use building anchoring the southeast corner of 16th and Market streets in Denver’s Lower Downtown (LoDo) district. Designed by Gensler and built by Milender White, the LEED Core & Shell–certified building combines Class A office space, ground-floor retail, and luxury apartments on its upper floors over three levels of below-grade parking, replacing the former Office Depot site with a modern brick building that pays homage to LoDo’s historic character.
Horizon’s scope encompassed approximately 35,000 square feet of curtain wall along with the building’s storefront entrances, delivering the refined, highly detailed glazing that defines 16M’s street presence and the strong pedestrian engagement along both 16th and Market. Completed in 2014, 16M went on to earn an Engineering News-Record Mountain States Best Project award for Office, Retail and Mixed Use, as well as an ENR Best Projects Excellence in Safety award.
